Blaze Tears Through Pawling Home, Now Under Investigation Firefighters from multiple departments worked through the night to battle a massive house fire in Dutchess County. The blaze broke out at a residence at 21 Old Farm Rd. in Pawling on Tuesday, Jan. 28, around 7:40 p.m., according to Pawling Fire Marshal Everett White. Car Fire Spreads To House In Hudson Valley A vehicle fire was soon extinguished by firefighters in Dutchess County, but not before it spread to a nearby residence. The incident happened on Tuesday, Jan. 28 at around 1:30 p.m., when a car caught on fire at a Beacon home on Rector Street, according to the Beacon Fire Department. Burning Lithium Battery Sparks Garbage Truck Fire In Dobbs Ferry Fire crews in Westchester responded to a garbage truck fire after workers spotted smoke coming from a lithium-ion battery from the vehicle’s load, firefighters said. Car Rolls Over On Lake Carmel Road Fire crews rushed to a serious crash scene in Putnam County after a vehicle rolled over. The incident happened in Lake Carmel on Monday, Jan. 27 just after 4 p.m., the Lake Carmel Fire Department announced on Tuesday, Jan. 28.
