The turtle was trapped inside a cage that had been secured with zip ties and submerged underwater at Geiger Park in Deer Park, the Suffolk County SPCA said Friday, Aug. 28. Town of Babylon park rangers found the turtle while responding to a complaint about e-bikes in the park and pulled the cage out of the lake, the SPCA said.
