Missing US Student Found Dead In Japan
A family’s desperate search overseas has ended in heartbreak.
James "Weston" Higginbotham, a 20-year-old Auburn University student from Hoover, Alabama, was found dead in a mountainous area outside Kyoto, Japan, multiple reports said Saturday, June 6.
His body was found by a volunteer search-and-rescue group, his mother, Nancy Higginbotham, said, according to CBS News.
A cause of death had not been released. Kyoto police had not found evidence suggesting foul play in the immediate area, NBC News reported, though the investigation remains ongoing.

Sgt. Albert Haynes II, 24, of Austin, Pennsylvania, was discovered dead in a hotel room in Starke, Florida, on Friday, May 30, according to the U.S. Marine Corps.
