A man has admitted to violently raping a woman who was walking home in Rockland County last year and now faces years in state prison.
Jose Pirir Morales, 27, of Suffern, pleaded guilty on Thursday, July 9, in Rockland County Court to first-degree rape, a violent felony, the Rockland County District Attorney's Office announced on Tuesday, July 14.
Prosecutors said the attack happened during the early morning hours of Saturday, Sept. 20, 2025, when the victim was walking to her residence in Suffern.

Raymond Phillips, 40, of Huntington Station, pulled off the fraud between 2021 and 2024, the New York Attorney General’s office said.
