$15K Winning Lottery Ticket Sold At This New Rochelle Gas Station One lucky visitor to a Westchester gas station walked away with a lottery ticket that made them several thousand dollars richer. A top-prize-winning Take 5 ticket worth $15,225.50 was sold in New Rochelle for the Labor Day drawing on Monday, Sept. 2, New York Lottery officials announced.  The ticket was sold at a Gulf gas station at 635 Main St., officials added. The identity of the winner was not released.  For those looking to try their luck, Take 5 drawings are televised twice a day at 2:30 p.m. and 10:30 p.m. Prizes can be claimed up to a year after the drawing date.

Lane Reduction To Slow Traffic On I-684 In North Castle: Here's Where Traffic on a stretch of I-684 in Westchester and Fairfield counties is set to be affected by a series of lane reductions, officials announced.  Both directions of Interstate 684 in North Castle and Greenwich, between Exit 2 (Route 120) and Exit 3 (Route 22) will be reduced to one lane on Wednesday, Sept. 4, and Thursday, Sept. 5, the New York State Department of Transportation announced.  The lane closures will be put into place between 8 p.m. on Wednesday and 5 a.m. on Thursday.  The traffic impacts will allow crews to perform bridge work, officials said.

Crash Temporarily Closes Stretch Of Roadway In Mahopac A crash that left a vehicle on its side in the Hudson Valley caused a brief road closure.  The incident happened in Putnam County on Tuesday, Sept. 3 around 12:50 p.m., when a vehicle flipped on Myrtle Avenue in Mahopac, eventually coming to a rest next to a pole, according to Carmel Police. The crash caused Myrtle Avenue to close between Carmine Drive and Potter Road for around 20 minutes as crews worked to clear the scene.  The roadway reopened around 1:10 p.m. The cause of the crash was not released.

Serious Crash In Patterson Leaves Rider In Critical Condition A person was hospitalized in critical condition following a serious crash in the Hudson Valley that caused an hours-long road closure.  The crash happened in Putnam County on Friday, Aug. 30 at around 5 p.m., when a motorcycle crashed on Route 22 near the intersection with Route 311, according to Trooper AJ Hicks of the New York State Police.  The motorcyclist was later taken to a nearby hospital in critical condition, Hicks said.  Route 22 in the crash area was closed until around 8 p.m. on Friday as authorities investigated the incident.
