Burglars Wearing Masks Break Into Long Island Liquor Store
A burglary at a liquor store on Long Island is under investigation. Three unidentified men broke the front glass door of Green’s Wines and Liquors in Hicksville, located at 216 West Old Country Road in Hicksville, early Saturday, Nov. 9, around 4 a.m. The men entered the store, stole a large amount of merchandise, and then fled in an unknown direction, according to Nassau County Police. Hicksville Serial Burglar Busted After Targeting Nassau County Businesses, Police Say
A serial burglar is in police custody after being busted for his role in targeting at least nine businesses on Long Island over the course of fewer than three weeks and making a terroristic threat during a domestic incident, police announced. Hicksville resident Jonathan Bird, age 35, was arrested at approximately 11 p.m. on Wednesday, May 25, following an investigation into multiple burglaries in Nassau County. A Long Island man has been arrested for an alleged attempted armed robbery in which he approached a woman in her vehicle and demanded her purse. The New Cassel man was arrested on Sunday, June 13 for the incident which took place on Tuesday, Dec. 15, in Hicksville, Nassau County Police said. Man Crossing Busy Long Island Road Suffers Head Trauma After Getting Hit By Van
A man crossing a busy Long Island roadway was seriously injured after being hit by a van. It happened on Monday, June 22 just after 9 a.m. in Hicksville. A 51-year-old man was driving a 2016 Ford van on West Old Country Road that struck a 62-year-old man crossing from south to north in the vicinity of Newbridge Road, Nassau County Police said.
