Double-Fatal House Fire: Brothers ID'd As Victims In West Islip
Two brothers were killed and their parents injured in an early morning house fire on Long Island.
The blaze broke out just before 6 a.m. Saturday, Nov. 4 in West Islip.
Emergency responders rushed to the scene after a 911 caller reported a fire at the residence on the 100 block of Udall Road.
Two brothers who lived at the residence, Matthew Kreamer, age 24, and Kyle Dilegame, age 16, were located dead inside the home, Suffolk County Police said.

ID Released For Woman Killed In Long Island House Fire
The identity has been released of a Long Island woman who was killed in a house fire.
The blaze broke out around 10:25 a.m., Friday, July 30 in West Islip, on the 800 block of Udall Road.
After firefighters extinguished the fire, the body of Suzanne Minervini, age 61, a resident of the home, was discovered, police said.
A firefighter suffered minor injuries, police said.
A preliminary investigation has determined the cause of the fire to be non-criminal in nature, police said.

Two Injured After Explosion At Long Island Business
Two employees of a Long Island gas company were seriously burned during an explosion.
The incident took place around 6:30 p.m., Monday, March 8, at Paraco Gas, located on Corbin Avenue in Bay Shore, said the Suffolk County Police.
The explosion occurred when the two employees were filling propane tanks when a small explosion, police said.
Both employees were transported by ambulance to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of burns.

Former West Islip Fire Chief Jeffrey Kempf Dies At 60
Jeffrey "Jocko" Kempf Sr., 60, a commissioner and former chief of the West Islip Fire Department died Saturday, Aug. 10, following a nine-month battle with bone and lung cancer.
Born in 1959 in East Meadow, Kemp later moved to West Islip, where he graduated from West Islip High School.
He joined the West Islip Fire Department in 1976, when he was 17-years-old, and rose through the ranks to the rank of chief, which he served as twice, from 1994 to 1996 and again from 1998 until 2000. He served with the department for 43 years.
