Burglar Nabs $5K From Pair Of Long Island Businesses; Reward Offered For Info Police are asking for help in identifying a commercial burglary suspect who helped himself to thousands of dollars from a pair of Long Island businesses. Suffolk County Police said the break-ins occurred at around 5:30 a.m. Thursday, May 2, in Lindenhurst, at two businesses on Wellwood Avenue. Surveillance footage showed the suspect, clad in all black clothing and a black face mask, forcibly entering Paris 1 Nail Salon through a rear door.  He stole nearly $1,000 in cash before hitting the neighboring business, Vicky’s Casa del Sabor, where he grabbed another $4,000 from the register.…

The incidents occurred in Lindenhurst on Thursday, May 2, at the Paris 1 Nail Salon and Vicky’s Casa del Sabor on Wellwood Avenue. The incident happened on Saturday, Jan. 9 at approximately 6:45 p.m. in  Lindenhurst. The woman, now ID'd as 67-year-old Theresa Buckley, of Lindenhurst, fell into the southbound lane of Wellwood Avenue, near Hartford Street, and was struck by a 2015 Chevrolet sedan being driven by Max Priore, age 27, of Lindenhurst, Suffolk County Police. Two Long Island Gas Station Robberies Could Be Linked, Police Say Suffolk County detectives are working to determine if two robberies that occurred just hours, and miles, apart are related. The first robbery took place around 7:35 p.m., Monday, Oct. 28, when a man walked into USA Gas, at 188 N. Wellwood Ave., in Lindenhurst, and demanded money. He left the store with cash, Suffolk County Police said. Roughly four hours later, a man robbed the Exxon, at 570 Sunrise Highway, in West Islip, police said. The man left with cash in the second robbery as well. Anyone with information on either robbery is asked to contact Crime Stoppers at 800-220-TIPS.
