Sobriety Checkpoint: 7 Charged During Overnight Detail In Patchogue Seven people are facing charges after an overnight sobriety checkpoint at the start of the Memorial Day weekend on Long Island. Authorities conducted the operation in Patchogue at the intersection of Waverly Avenue and North Service Road from around 11:10 p.m. Friday, May 26, until 2:30 a.m. Saturday, May 27.  A total of 523 vehicles went through the checkpoint, Suffolk Couty Police said. 7 Charged During Sobriety Checkpoint At Busy Patchogue Intersection Seven people were charged during an overnight sobriety checkpoint overnight at a busy Long Island intersection. It was conducted in Patchogue at Waverly Avenue and North Service Road between 11:15 p.m. Friday, Aug. 19, and 2:20 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 20. Man Wanted For Stealing Purse, Credit Cards At Long Island Store Police are searching for a man who allegedly used a stolen credit card on Long Island.  A woman reported that her purse and credit cards were stolen from her vehicle on West Roe Boulevard in Patchogue at approximately 2:45 p.m. on Wednesday, Nov. 4, according to Suffolk County Police. Later that day, one of the stolen credit cards was used at a 7-Eleven at 444 Waverly Avenue.  Suffolk County Crime Stoppers will extend a cash reward to anyone with information that leads to the perpetrator's arrest. Shortly before midnight in Patchogue on Friday, Nov. 1, Sheriff’s deputies stopped Ronkonkoma resident Salvadora Vaz on Waverly Avenue after she was spotted failing to yield at the traffic circle.
