There’s a new bagel king of Long Island.
Blazin Bagel and Deli – located in Manorville at 287 Wading River Road – was voted best bagels for the 2024 Bethpage Best of Long Island survey.
“Boiled and baked to perfection, Blazin Bagel’s creations boast a delightful balance of chewiness and crispness, creating the ideal bagel texture,” reads the consensus. “Complemented by a selection of artisanal spreads and toppings, each bagel is a culinary delight.”

A woman was killed and a man seriously injured in a two-vehicle crash at a Long Island intersection.
It happened around 11:50 a.m. Sunday, June 18 in Manorville.
A 38-year-old Shirley woman was driving a 2022 BMW southbound on Wading River Road when she attempted to make a lefthand turn onto South Street, Suffolk County Police said.
The BMW then collided with a 2020 Kawasaki motorcycle that was traveling northbound through the intersection.

Head-On Crash: Woman Killed, Another Injured In Manorville
Police are investigating a head-on collision on Long Island that left one woman dead and another seriously injured.
The incident occurred in Manorville at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, according to Suffolk County Police.
Manorville resident Mary Brennen, age 40, was driving southbound on Wading River Road north of Par Drive, in a 2018 Hyundai Tucson, when she swerved into the northbound lane, police said.
Brennen’s vehicle struck 68-year-old Sheryl Gochman’s 2019 Nissan Rogue.

Man, Woman From Huntington Killed After Vehicle Crashes Into Tree At Manorville Intersection
Two people were killed after a vehicle slammed into a tree at a Long Island intersection.
The crash happened at around 3:15 p.m. Monday, Feb. 6 in Manorville.
A 50-year-old Huntington Station man was driving a 2019 Ford van southbound on Wading River Road when the vehicle left the road and struck the tree at the intersection with North Street, Suffolk County Police said.
The driver, identified as Kevin Vollmer, and his passenger, Antoinette Mullings-Joseph, age 49, of Huntington, were pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
