Parolee Shot, Killed Man Sleeping In Car On Long Island, Jury Finds A Long Island man out on parole shot and killed a man who had been sleeping in a car, a jury found. Kadeem Lewis, age 31, of Hempstead, was found guilty of second-degree murder and related charges in Nassau County Court on Thursday, Oct. 31, in the killing of Jose Sanchez-Velasquez. Know Him? Suspect Wanted After Violent Assault At Long Island Elementary School Parking Lot Do you know him? Police are asking the public's help in locating the suspect in a violent assault at the parking lot of a Long Island School. The incident happened around 12:30 p.m. Sunday, May 29 in Bellmore. 'It's Time To Surrender': Family Appeals To 23-Year-Old Ex-HS Athlete Wanted For Slayings The family of a college senior who played varsity football in Fairfield County and who is the subject of a massive search by law enforcement for a string of slayings is asking him to surrender. Police began searching for the University of Connecticut student Peter Manfredonia, 23, after State Police say that he was seen leaving the scene of the brutal murder of Thomas DeMers in Willington, on Friday, May 22.
