Recall Issued For Nearly 700,000 Toyota Vehicles
Hundreds of thousands of Toyota vehicles are being recalled due to fuel pumps that could potentially fail and cause engines to stall, increasing the risk of a crash.
Toyota announced that it is recalling nearly 700,000 vehicles due to the faulty fuel pumps, impacting dozens of models.
The recall covers certain 2018 and 2019 Lexus LS 500, LC 500, RC 350, RC 300, GS 350, IS 300, ES 350, LX 570, GX 460 and RX 350 models. It also includes some 2018 and 2019 models of Toyota 4Runner, Camry, Highlander, Land Cruiser, Sequoia, Sienna, Tacoma, Tundra Avalon, and Corolla models.

Woman Seriously Injured In Three-Vehicle Crash At Busy Long Island Intersection
A 26-year-old woman was seriously injured in a three-vehicle crash.
It happened on Wednesday, Nov. 20 at approximately 1:30 p.m. in Stony Brook.
The woman, Mariana Debbe, of Miller Place, was driving a 2003 Honda Civic westbound on Route 347 when she attempted to make a left-hand turn onto southbound Nicolls Road, Suffolk County Police said.
The Honda was struck by a 2005 Mercury Mountaineer being driven northbound on Nicolls Road by Deanna Lee Hermida, 23, of Ridge.

Nassau County Man Struck, Killed By Minivan In Suffolk
A man from Nassau County was killed after being hit by a minivan in Suffolk County.
It happened at about 5:20 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 5 in Copiague, Suffolk County Police said.
Nicole Campay, 40, of Lindenhurst, was driving a 2012 Chrysler Town & Country eastbound on Oak Street, east of Great Neck Road, when the vehicle struck the pedestrian who stepped into the roadway.
The pedestrian, Wojtek Brajczewski, 61, of Wantagh, was transported via Copiague Rescue to Good Samaritan Hospital Medical Center in West Islip where he was pronounced dead. Campay was not injured.

Man Seriously Injured In Crash Between Van, Box Truck On Long Island Expressway
A man was seriously injured in a crash between a van and box truck on the Long Island Expressway.
It happened near Exit 50 in Melville on Monday, Sept. 30 at approximately 10:40 a.m., Suffolk County Police said.
Jeffrey Browne, 30, of East Islip, was driving a 2018 black Ford van eastbound when the van struck the rear of a 2007 Freightliner box truck stopped in traffic in the eastbound lane.
Browne was airlifted to Stony Brook University Hospital for treatment of serious but not life-threatening injuries.
