Three Busted During Underage Alcohol Sting Operation On Long Island, Police Say
Three people have been charged with selling alcohol to minors during an investigation into stores on Long Island.
The sting effort, conducted by Riverhead Police and the Riverhead Community Awareness Program took place on Thursday, June 16, in an effort to reduce the sale of alcohol to underage children, the police department said.
Those arrested and charged with unlawfully dealing with a child included :

Four Suffolk County Store Clerks Accused Of Selling E-Liquid Nicotine To Minors
Four Long Island store clerks have been accused of selling e-liquid nicotine to minors.
In response to community complaints, Suffolk County Police Fifth Precinct Crime Section officers conducted an investigation Monday, June 6 between 7 p.m. and 10 p.m. into the sale of e-liquid nicotine to minors during which numerous businesses were checked for compliance.
Those charged with endangering the welfare of a child are:

Man Accused Of Robbing Long Island Gas Station
A man was arrested and accused of robbing a Long Island gas station.
The Suffolk County Police Department reported that 56-year-old Mustafa Demirezen, of Lynbrook, was charged with first-degree robbery in the incident on Wednesday, Dec. 1.
SCPD said Demirezen entered Valero, located at 10 Long Island Ave. in Wyandanch, at about 1 a.m. and ordered the clerk to give him cash.
When the clerk refused, Demirezen went behind the counter, grabbed a knife and fought the clerk, police said.
The clerk called 911, and Demirezen left without the cash, SCPD reported.

Uniondale Man Holds Up Gas Station At Gunpoint For Pack Of Cigars, Police Say
A Nassau County man wanted a smoke when he allegedly held up a Valero gas station with a gun for a pack of cigars, Nassau County Police said.
The robbery took place around 8:35 p.m., Thursday, Aug. 22, at the Valero gas station on Manor Parkway, said police.
According to detectives, Michael Ammino, 40, entered the gas station and approached the male store clerk and demanded a pack of cigars located behind the counter.
Ammino then motioned towards his waistband and threatened to shoot the victim if he did not comply, police said.
