Suspect Nabbed For Fatal Hit-Run Port Jefferson Station Crash Police have apprehended a suspect in a hit-and-run crash on Long Island. The crash happened around 10:15 p.m. Friday, June 2 in Port Jefferson Station. A man was crossing Route 112 eastbound, south of Rose Avenue, when he was struck by an unknown SUV heading southbound on Route 112 that fled the scene, Suffolk County Police said. The man was then struck by a second southbound vehicle that remained at the scene, according to police. Duo Wanted For Stealing Cash, Credit Cards In Setauket, Terryville, Stony Brook, Port Jeff Police on Long Island are asking the public for help identifying two men wanted for allegedly stealing wallets and cash from unlocked cars. The incidents took place in June in Suffolk County in the Setauket, Terryville, Stony Brook, and Port Jefferson areas.  According to police, the two men entered the cars and stole wallets containing cash, credit and debit cards, and licenses.  They were seen driving what appears to be a light-colored sedan, police said. The blaze began around 6:45 a.m., Wednesday, Nov. 4 in Miller Place, on Henearly Drive. The first units arriving on the scene found the two-story residential building in blaze, said the Miller Fire Department.
