The death of Marco Tulio Pineda, age 51, of Central Islip, occurred around 12:50 p.m., Thursday, Feb. 1 at a residence on 2nd Avenue, said the Suffolk County Crime Stoppers and Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives. Seventh Precinct police officers responded to a report of an 8-year-old boy who fell in the driveway of a residence, located on Bittersweet Lane, on Friday, Jan. 17 at approximately 9:40 a.m., Suffolk County Police said. It happened at around 3:45 a.m., Wednesday, Aug. 7, Suffolk County Police Homicide Squad detectives said. Four teens were in the woods outside 142 East Suffolk Ave. when they were approached by two teens, police said. The teens fled, but the 15-year-old was shot. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are investigating whether the shooting was gang-related. Westbound Suffolk Avenue is closed from Dovecote Lane to Lowell Avenue for the investigation. This is a developing story.
