Following an investigation by Suffolk County Police Fourth, Fifth, and Sixth Squad detectives, Joseph Foresto, age 67, was charged with six commercial burglaries and an attempted burglary between Saturday, May 18, and Saturday, June 22.  During the burglaries, Foresto, a Lake Grove resident, forced entry by throwing objects through a glass door or window to enter the closed businesses. 3 Hospitalized In Miller Place Crash Involving Ambulance Police are investigating a Long Island crash involving an ambulance in which a person suffered serious injuries. It happened around 6:30 p.m. Saturday, June 22 in Miller Place, according to Suffolk County Police. An ambulance with its lights and sirens activated was traveling westbound on Route 25A when an eastbound 2008 Subaru Forester, driven attempted to make a left turn onto Parkside Avenue and collided with the ambulance. Suffolk County Police Third Precinct officers responded to a 911 call after the man was found at around 6 p.m. Sunday, June 16, at a home in West Islip on Graywood Court. Full Closures Planned For Portion Of Sunrise Highway Scheduled highway closures could cause delays for Long Island drivers in the coming days. In Suffolk County, all eastbound lanes of Sunrise Highway are slated to close nightly between Exit 49 in Islip and Exit 54 in Brookhaven beginning at 10 p.m. Monday, June 10. The closures will last until 5 a.m. each day through Friday, June 14, according to the Department of Transportation.
