Toddler Dies From Fentanyl, Cocaine Poisoning; Long Island Couple Hit With Dozens Of Charges
A Long Island couple has been criminally charged after a 14-month-old boy died from a suspected fentanyl and cocaine overdose.
Wilkens Adonis and Daryllee Leibrock, both age 38, of Holbrook, were arraigned on dozens of drug and weapons charges in Suffolk County Court on Wednesday, Jan. 24.
Emergency crews were called to the couple’s Holbrook home on Wednesday morning, Jan. 3, for an unresponsive child. When they arrived, police found Adonis, Leibrock and their toddler son, Joseph, in the couple’s bedroom.

A Long Island attorney is accused of stealing thousands of dollars from a real estate transaction and using the money on personal expenses.
Peter Saad, age 46, of Calverton, surrendered to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office on Wednesday, Dec. 13, to face charges of grand larceny.
Saad is the principal attorney at the Law Office of Peter A. Saad, Jr., PC, based in Riverhead.
Prosecutors said he stole $25,000 from his attorney escrow account over a two-month period in 2020 after representing a client in the sale of his home.

A 24-year-old man is facing years in prison for hitting and killing a Long Island woman while driving drunk and high on marijuana.
Wade Gagliano, of Ronkonkoma, pleaded guilty to vehicular manslaughter in Suffolk County Court on Thursday, Nov. 30, in the death of Adrienne Wagner.
According to prosecutors, Gagliano was driving an SUV westbound on Johnson Avenue near Ocean Avenue in Ronkonkoma when he struck Wagner at around 1:30 a.m. on Aug. 14, 2022, as she crossed the street.
Wagner, age 67, of Ronkonkoma, was pronounced dead at the scene.

A former town employee on Long Island is accused of stealing his dead mother’s public pension payments totaling tens of thousands of dollars.
Moses Johnson, age 63, of Huntington, was arrested Wednesday, Oct. 11, on suspicion of grand larceny.
Johnson, a former employee at the Town of Huntington, allegedly pocketed 15 unauthorized payments totaling over $56,000 between April 2021 and June 2022, according to the Suffolk County District Attorney’s Office.
Investigators said the stolen funds were transferred to his bank account from an account belonging to his mother, who died in April 2021. …
