Covid-19: Long Island Seeing Trend Of Less Positive Cases, Lower Infection Rates
Long Island is now seeing some relief from the post-holiday surge of new COVID-19 infections as the positivity rate of those being tested for the virus dipped below 25 percent.
For three straight days, the seven-day average percentage of positive test results on Long Island dipped from 25.58 percent on Sunday, Jan. 9, to 25.14 the following day, and down to 24.33 percent on Tuesday, Jan. 11, still the highest in the state.

Iconic Seafood Restaurant Opens Second Long Island Location
A popular seafood restaurant known for its lobster rolls has opened a brand-new location on Long Island.
On Friday, Dec. 9, Lobster Roll (also known as LUNCH) opened the eatery in Southampton, at 32 Montauk Highway in Southampton.
The owners also operate the iconic location in Amagansett, but the Southampton location is the first that is open year-round, representatives said.
The menu includes a variety of seafood dishes, such as homemade clam chowder, scallops, salmon filet, and of course, lobster specialties.
