It happened on Tuesday, Oct. 17 in South Floral Park, Nassau County Police said. That morning, a homeowner on Hill Avenue left their white Honda sedan running in their driveway. The homeowner noticed an unknown thief hop in the car and drive away. At approximately 8:30 a.m., the sedan hit a home on Arthur Avenue, substantially damaging the residence. Man Charged After Being Found With Gun Outside South Floral Beach Home, Police Say A man was arrested outside of his Long Island home after authorities said he was found in possession of a firearm. Officers received an alert about a person with a gun traveling to his home on Roquette Avenue in South Floral Park at 5:45 p.m. on Monday, July 25, according to the Nassau County Police Department. NCPD said a car pulled up in front of the home and officers spoke to the driver, who was identified as 31-year-old Khalil Dapries. Police ID Long Island Man Shot, Killed In Broad Daylight Police on Long Island have identified a man who was gunned down and killed on a city street in broad daylight. Rodmon Green, age 49, of South Floral Park, was found around 2:15 p.m., Sunday, June 20, when Nassau County police responded to a call for a person who had been shot in Elmont. Upon arrival, they discovered Green with a gunshot wound in the vicinity of Carnegie Avenue, police said. Green was transported by a Nassau County Police Ambulance to a nearby hospital where he later died. The investigation is ongoing.
