A Long Island man who allegedly robbed a deli and burglarized two other businesses was caught by police following an investigation.
The incidents took place in Shirley and Mastic Beach on three separate dates in April, Suffolk County Police said.
Blaise Marckesano, age 38, of Shirley, was arrested on Wednesday, April 26 following an investigation into the crimes which began on Saturday, April 1, police said.

Fatal Crash: Long Island Man Crossing Busy Highway Struck By Car
A local man was killed after being hit by a car while crossing a busy Long Island highway.
The incident took place in Suffolk County around 8:40 p.m., Tuesday, April 18 on the Montauk Highway in Shirley.
According to Suffolk County Police, a 53-year-old Shirley man was driving a 2016 Subaru eastbound in the travel lane of Montauk Highway, west of Camp Upton Road, when the vehicle struck Paul Moran, who was crossing the roadway.
Moran, age 57, of Shirley, was pronounced dead at the scene by an EMT with Shirley Community Ambulance, police said.

Update: Missing Long Island Teen Found

A teenager who was reported missing after not returning home has been found.
Benjamin Allen Jones, a 16-year-old Shirley resident, had last been seen leaving his house on Monday, April 3, according to Suffolk County Police.
On Friday of the same week, police say that Jones was found and is unharmed.
