Paint Poured On Pro-Israel Banner At Jewish Center On Long Island Police are searching for the person or persons responsible for pouring paint on banner expressing support for Israel at a Jewish center on Long Island. Nassau County Police say the incident happened on Friday, Aug, 30 at 9 p.m. in Searingtown. Officers responded to the Shelter Rock Jewish Center, located at 272 Shelter Rock Road for a report of criminal mischief.  It was determined that an unknown person or persons had thrown red paint over a banner which stated “We stand with Israel, bring them home now," before fleeing the scene. Home Health Aide Accused Of Abusing Victim In Searingtown A home health aide has been accused of assaulting a victim on Long Island. According to Nassau County Police detectives, a 68-year-old Searingtown man who suffers from a cognitive disorder needed the assistance of a live-in home health aide and hired Radica Barker, age 59, of Orlando, Florida, to provide care. Worker Rescued After Falling 25 Feet Into Pit At Long Island Construction Site A worker was pulled to safety after falling about 25 feet into a large foundation pit at a Long Island construction site. It happened around 10:15 a.m. on Friday, May 8 in Searingtown at 60 Shelter Rock Road, Nassau County Police said. 20-Year-Old Killed In Two-Vehicle Searingtown Crash A 20-year-old was killed and another motorist injured in a two-vehicle crash on Long Island. It happened on Thursday, July 18 at around 5:10 p.m. at Searingtown Road and Old Searingtown Road in Searingtown, Nassau County Police said.  The 20-year-old driver was transported to an area hospital where he was pronounced dead by a staff physician, according to police.
