Westchester Woman Scammed Out Of $80K By Fraudsters Posing As Amazon Workers
A New York woman was bilked out of $80,000 by fraudsters posing as Amazon employees as part of an elaborate computer and phone scheme, police said. Last week, investigators in Westchester County with the Scarsdale Police Department received a report from a Greendale Road resident, who said that she believed she was the victim of a scam involving fraudsters portraying Amazon employees. Vomit-Covered Man Asleep Behind Wheel In Westchester Busted For DWI, Police Say
A vomit-covered man from Long Island asleep behind the wheel of a parked car on a busy Westchester street was allegedly driving while impaired, police said. An officer from the Scarsdale Police Department was on patrol shortly after 10 a.m. on Monday, Dec. 9, when he spotted a 2019 Honda Accord parked in the right southbound lane of Post Road with the engine running and key fob inside the vehicle.
