Seven Charged In Long Island Sobriety Checkpoint Seven people were charged in an overnight sobriety checkpoint on Long Island. The checkpoint was conducted on eastbound Route 27 Service Road at Route 112 in Patchogue from 11:30 p.m. Friday, Aug. 16 until around 2:30 a.m. Saturday, Aug. 17. Suffolk County Police arrested seven people during an overnight sobriety checkpoint in Patchogue last night and this morning. A total of 431 vehicles went through the checkpoint.
