A 35-year-old woman was charged with unauthorized practice of a profession following a massage parlor raid on Long Island. Police officers, along with the Town of Brookhaven fire marshal and building inspector, conducted an investigation into New Blue Sea Relaxing Spa in Mount Sinai at about 4 p.m. on Tuesday, Jan. 17, after receiving complaints about the business, the Suffolk County Police Department said. 32-Year-Old Seriously Injured After Being Struck By Car On Long Island Roadway
A 32-year-old Long Island man was seriously injured after being struck by a car while crossing a busy roadway. The incident took place in Mount Sinai around 11;10 p.m. on Route 25A. According to the Suffolk County Police, Vincent Rienzie, of Mount Sinai, was crossing Route 25A, just west of Mount Sinai-Coram Road, from north to south, when he was struck by an eastbound 2022 Subaru Forrester. Several Long Island store clerks are facing charges for selling e-liquid nicotine to minors during an undercover sting operation. Suffolk County Police investigators arrested four clerks on Thursday, July 30 who sold JUULpods to minors at businesses in Mount Sinai, Medford, and Centereach. The undercover operation came following a string of complaints from the community regarding the sale of nicotine products to underage buyers. A visitor to a residential community was hospitalized and a security guard is facing an assault charge following an incident on Long Island, police said. While working as a security guard at The Ranches at Mount Sinai, located at Route 25A, John Ruggiero, 50, denied entry to a 68-year-old man who was attempting to visit a friend on Wednesday, Aug. 14 at approximately 3 p.m., Suffolk County Police said. Man Charged With DWI After Car Crashes Into Senior Center In Mount Sinai
An out-of-state man was arrested for DWI after he crashed his vehicle into a senior center in Mount Sinai, police said. The incident took place around 12:25 a.m., Tuesday, April 30, when Bruce Brant, 25, of Pennsylvania, driving a 2012 Mazda3 northbound on North Ocean Avenue failed to stop at the end of the roadway and crashed the vehicle into the Rose Caracappa Senior Center, located at 739 Route 25A, said the Suffolk County Police.
