ID Released For 47-Year-Old Killed In Amityville Hit-Run Crash Involving Alleged Drunk Driver
The identity has been released of the victim in an overnight hit-and-run crash involving an allegedly drunk driver on Long Island. The crash happened around 11:45 p.m. Sunday, Sept. 3 in Amityville. The victim was walking across Route 110, near Albany Avenue, when he was struck by a southbound vehicle and then struck again by a northbound 2020 Land Rover, Suffolk County Police said. Nine Long Island Gas Stations Cited For Environmental Violations
Nine Long Island gas stations were cited for repeated environmental violations that could have put groundwater at risk of contamination. U.S. Attorney Richard Donoghue announced this week that the United States has filed a civil lawsuit against Genesis Petroleum, Inc., and 20 of its associated companies for violating the Resource Conservation and Recovery Act (RCRA).
