At approximately 4:30 p.m. on Sunday, May 2, a 13-year-old boy was struck by a Volkswagen Passat while crossing in front of a building on Burnside Avenue in North Lawrence. Man Nabbed For Burglary Of Long Island Home, Police Say A 39-year-old man was arrested for an alleged burglary on Long Island after police say he fought with officers. Bryan McCants, of Far Rockaway, Queens, was arrested around 3:40 a.m., Tuesday, March 2, in Cedarhurst, said the Nassau County Police. According to detectives, Fourth Precinct officers were investigating a burglary that occurred at a residence earlier in the night.
