Head-On Crash Seriously Injures Long Island Man: Police
A Massapequa man has been seriously injured after a young driver’s vehicle crossed into the opposite lane, according to police.
27-year-old Chris Singh, of Brentwood, was driving in Bay Shore on the morning of Tuesday, May 2, the Suffolk County Police Department reported.
The accident occurred at around 7:20 a.m. as Singh was driving southbound on 5th Avenue, near Santam Court.
His 2016 Chevrolet Camaro crossed into the northbound lanes and struck an oncoming Ford truck, driven by David Seletsky, age 52, head-on.

Police are investigating a head-on collision on Long Island that left one woman dead and another seriously injured.
The incident occurred in Manorville at approximately 9:25 a.m. on Tuesday, April 4, according to Suffolk County Police.
Manorville resident Mary Brennen, age 40, was driving southbound on Wading River Road north of Par Drive, in a 2018 Hyundai Tucson, when she swerved into the northbound lane, police said.
Brennen’s vehicle struck 68-year-old Sheryl Gochman’s 2019 Nissan Rogue.

ID Released For Man Killed After Being Struck By Vehicle On Long Island Roadway
The identity has been released of a man who was killed after being struck by a vehicle on a Long Island roadway.
The incident happened around 6:45 a.m. Tuesday, Oct. 19 in Sayville.
The man, now identified as Amjed Hussain, age 63, was crossing the westbound Sunrise Highway entrance ramp, west of Lakeland Avenue, when he was struck by a 2020 Jeep Wrangler, Suffolk County Police said.
Hussain, who police say is homeless, was transported to South Shore University Hospital in Bay Shore where he was pronounced dead, police said.

The identity has been released of a woman who was struck and killed by a car shortly after she fell onto a Long Island roadway, police announced.
The incident happened on Saturday, Jan. 9 at approximately 6:45 p.m. in Lindenhurst.
