A 25-year-old man who was pretending to be a police officer got quite a surprise when he pulled over a van of detectives on Long Island, leading to a chase on the Long Island Expressway, and his arrest, police said.

Suffolk County Police Seventh Precinct officers responded to Estate Court in Sound Beach after a 911 caller reported a suspicious vehicle parked in the street at approximately 5:11 p.m. Friday, July 12.
