Trio Nabbed On Long Island With Weapons, Guns, After Wild Chase Involving Several Crashes
Three alleged gang members, one wanted for murder, were arrested by police who confiscated drugs and weapons during a wild takedown that involved several vehicle crashes.
The arrest took place on Thursday, Oct. 29 in Hauppauge.
That's when members of the Suffolk County Police Firearm Suppression Team, along with members of the U.S. Marshals Fugitive Task Force, located Brandon Hicks, 19, of Hauppauge, who had an active warrant from Nassau County for attempted murder, reckless endangerment, and criminal possession of a weapon.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly firing two rounds from a handgun during a fight with another person.
Lenny Traveras, 26, of Freeport, was arrested on Wednesday, April 1, for the incident which took place around 3 p.m. Wednesday, March 25, in front of a residence in Freeport, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Traveras allegedly fire two rounds from a handgun at a 27-year-old man he was having a verbal argument with in front of a house on Bedell Street, police said.

Man Barricades Himself Inside Long Island Home, Sets Fire, Police Say
A Long Island man was charged after allegedly barricading all of the doors of his home and then setting it on fire while inside.
Kevin Meyer, 31, of East Rockaway, was charged Monday, March 30, with various crimes following the event that took place around 11:49 a.m. on Elbert Place, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, Meyer, while alone in his home, intentionally set fire to the residence and called 911.
Responding officers attempted to gain entry into the home but found all of the doors had been intentionally barricaded, police said.

Man Arrested For Firing Guns From Driveway Of Long Island Home, Police Say
A man has been arrested for allegedly firing guns while standing in the driveway of his Long Island home.
Thomas Zoeller, 57, was arrested at 11:10 a.m., Monday, March 23, after police responded to a home on 2nd St., in Oceanside, for a report of shots fired, Nassau County Police said.
When police arrived they found Zoeller standing in his driveway. After an investigation, officers determined that Zoeller allegedly fired a 22-caliber rifle and a BB gun "in a reckless manner" across the street from his residence, police said.

A Long Island man has been charged with attempted murder and a host of other charges after violent overnight incidents involving separate women, police say.
The incidents happened in Hempstead and Roosevelt on Friday, March 13 at 10:30 p.m. and Saturday, March 14 at 12:30 a.m., Nassau County Police said.
