A Long Island woman driving drunk is facing multiple charges following an overnight crash that left one person dead and several others hospitalized, according to police.
The crash happened around 4:35 a.m. on Saturday, May 29, in Hempstead.
Tasha Brown, age 27, of Uniondale, was operating a 2016 Toyota Corolla with three passengers westbound on Front Street at Hendrickson Avenue when she struck multiple parked vehicles, Nassau County Police said.
After an investigation, Brown was arrested at 4:50 a.m.

Anthony Chiantella, age 27, of Bayville, was convicted on Thursday, April 15, for the February 2019 crash on the Wantagh State Parkway shortly after jury members were shown a video of him bragging about breaking the law.

A Long Island man has been arrested for allegedly taking police on a high-speed chase and then attempted to assault them during his arrest.
Bradley Bull, age 37, of Uniondale, was arrested around 12:40 a.m., Wednesday, Jan. 13, following the incident in Uniondale, said the Nassau County Police.
According to detectives, officers spotted a 2007 Chevrolet SUV driving westbound on Jerusalem Avenue in the eastbound lanes. As officers initiated a traffic stop, the SUV fled at a high rate of speed.

A 24-year-old man has been arrested for allegedly firing a gun at a passing vehicle who shot the man in the leg during an incident last month on Long Island.
Rufino Rodriguez, 24, of Brooklyn, was arrested on Wednesday, Jan. 13, after surrendering to Nassau County Police for the Wednesday, Dec. 23 shoot-out in North Valley Stream.
According to detectives, Rodriguez was leaving a house party at a Sherbourne Road residence, and entering his vehicle when he was approached by an unknown man, yet to be arrested, who fired multiple shots at Rodriguez.
