Man Nabbed For Attempted Murder During Lynbrook Altercation
A 36-year-old man was arrested for attempted murder for allegedly shooting another man during an altercation in a car on Long Island.
The incident took place in Lynbrook around 1 a.m., on Monday, Dec. 19, 2022, on Merrick Road.
According to Nassau County Police detectives, Vincent T. Lynch, of Jamaica, Queens, and the male victim, age 27, were passengers sitting in a gray-colored 2004 BMW sedan parked in front of 710 Merrick Road when a physical altercation ensued.

A Long Island man who admitted to targeting Hispanic men before bringing them to remote locations and violently attacking them is heading to prison.
Christopher Cella, age 20, of Medford, was sentenced to 3 ½ years behind bars Wednesday, Oct. 26, in Suffolk County Court after pleading guilty to multiple hate crimes, including strangulation and assault.

Long Island Hit-Run Driver Apprehended After Crash Injures 8-Year-Old, Police Say
A hit-and-run driver who allegedly injured an 8-year-old was nabbed by police on Long Island.
The incident took place in Greenvale around 3:30 p.m. on Tuesday, Oct. 11 on Maple Street.
According to detectives, the boy was riding his bicycle off of the sidewalk into the street when he was struck by a red-colored 1997 Dodge Dakota.
The victim was transported to a local hospital where he was treated for minor injuries, police said.
Following an investigation, the driver, identified as Jose Guzman, age 48, of Glen Cove, was charged with the crime on Wednesday, Oct. 12, police said.

A Long Island man was nabbed for alleged reckless erratic driver after he allegedly intentionally swerved at highway workers and damaged cones.
The incidents took place in Southampton between July 13, and July 20, on County Road 39 and Tuckahoe Road.
In one of the incidents, officers said Michael Stetson, age 48, of Shirley, driving a 2021 white Ford Utility vehicle, yelled and swerved toward Southampton Town Highway employees who were working, said the Southampton Police.
