2 Store Clerks Accused Of Selling Alcohol To Minors During Riverhead Compliance Check Two Long Island businesses were cited for allegedly selling alcohol to minors. Compliance checks were conducted at 19 retail vendors throughout the Town of Riverhead on Tuesday, Aug. 20. The operation targeted the sale of alcohol products to patrons under the age of 21. The following vendors were found not to comply: Mobil, 3705 Middle Country Road, Calverton Shell, 626 W. Early-Morning Thief Nabs Work Truck From Long Island Municipal Building Police are investigating the early-morning theft of a work truck from a Long Island municipal building. The incident happened at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Sept. 26, in Riverhead, at the Riverhead Water District Garage located on Pulaski Street. According to Riverhead Town Police, someone broke into the building before making off with a 2002 white Chevrolet work truck. The culprit also stole various copper pipes and tools, and damaged a fence while fleeing. Investigators later found the truck abandoned in Coram thanks to the help of an onboard GPS system. Suspect At Large After Armed Robbery At Riverhead Gas Station Police on Long Island are on the hunt for an alleged armed robbery suspect who shot at a store employee. The incident took place in Riverhead around 10:15 p.m., Sunday, Oct. 30 at the Mobile Gas Station located at 1575 Old Country Road. According to Riverhead Police, a man entered the store and displayed a black handgun demanding money.  The employee complied and was able to exit the station during the robbery and ran across Pulaski Street, police said. Police ID Man Found Dead In Suffolk County Wooded Area Police have identified a 51-year-old man who was found deceased in a wooded area on Long Island as they continue to investigate his cause of death. The Riverhead Police Department reported on Monday, Feb. 7, that Oscar Patzan-Xiquin was identified as the man found dead in the area of Pulaski Street. Authorities initially announced that the death investigation was underway on Friday, Feb. 4, police said.  Police said Patzan-Xiquin was originally from Guatemala and most recently was experiencing homelessness in Riverhead. Police Asking For Help Identifying Man Found Dead In Suffolk Police are asking the public for help after a man was found dead at a tent encampment on Long Island.
