A 29-year-old man formally confessed to causing an impaired, high-speed crash on the Southern State Parkway that claimed three lives. A former Long Island attorney is accused of embezzling tens of thousands of dollars from his clients. Daniel Fier, 40, was arraigned on grand larceny and related charges in Suffolk County Court on Tuesday, Jan. 14, for allegedly stealing $70,000 from two clients he represented in real estate transactions.
