Man Accused In Nassau County Burglary Spree Charged For New Incident At Starbucks, Police Say
A man who was arrested last month in a string of burglaries on Long Island is accused of burglarizing another business. Jung Su Kim, age 58, of Queens, was apprehended for a burglary that happened at a Starbucks in Great Neck Plaza at 2:20 a.m. on Sunday, Aug. 14, according to the Nassau County Police Department. Officers responded to an alarm at the business, located at 6 Great Neck Road, and found Kim unlawfully inside of the store, police said. A Long Island man allegedly driving a stolen vehicle was nabbed after an officer spotted him minutes after the theft. Nassau County police said the incident took place around 11:45 a.m. on Thursday, May 21 in Hempstead when an officer from the Hempstead Police Department spotted the stolen vehicle. Man Pretending To Be Cop Charged With Robbing Long Island Lowe's, Police Say
An alleged shoplifter at a Long Island Lowe’s location is facing a host of charges after allegedly posing as a cop, threatening store employees and customers with a weapon, police said. Bronx resident Sekou Shutsha, 51, allegedly entered Lowe’s on Rockaway Turnpike in North Lawrence at approximately 4:30 p.m. on Tuesday, April 21 with the intention of stealing items from the store. Man Charged In Connection To Nine Long Island Home Burglaries
A 30-year-old man has been charged in connection to nine residential burglaries in July and August of this year on Long Island. Following an investigation, Suffolk County Police First Squad detectives located Alfred Giglio, of Lindenhurst, on Veterans Memorial Highway, Ronkonkoma on Friday, Aug. 16 at around 12:45 p.m. and arrested him for three burglaries that occurred in the First Precinct in July 2019.
