Long Island Man Nabbed For Alleged Sexual Assault, Police Search For Other Victims Police arrested a Long Island man for reportedly raping a child and have asked any other potential victims to come forward. Baldwin man Stephen Vickers-Griffiths, age 35, was arrested on Monday, February 26, according to Nassau County Police. Vickers-Griffiths allegedly sexually assaulted an 11-year-old girl and was arrested at Pines Motor Lodge in Westbury, located at 101 Taylor Avenue. Dozens Displaced After Blaze Breaks Out At Motel In Nassau County More than two dozen people were displaced following a fire at a Long Island motel. The blaze broke out in a second-floor room at the Pines Motor Lodge on Taylor Avenue in Westbury at approximately 12:30 a.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 8, fire officials said. Multiple agencies responded to the fire, which was knocked down in approximately an hour. Minor injuries were reportedly sustained by a child and firefighter who were treated at the scene. The fire is under investigation by the Nassau County Fire Marshal. No other details were immediately released.
