4 Nabbed In Million-Dollar Suffolk County Retail Theft Ring, DA Says
Four people have been nabbed in a major million-dollar retail theft ring on Long Island.
Suffolk County District Attorney Ray Tierney announced on Tuesday, Aug. 9, that the suspects would steal items from big box stores and then use Ulloa’s Brentwood pawn shop as a front.
The suspects would allegedly store the products at a warehouse before selling them online, the DA's Office said.
The suspects, Carlos Ulloa, Henry Delgado, Sandra Cruz, and Sandra Palomino generated over $1 million a year in profit, authorities say.

Suspect In String Of Business Burglaries Caught On Long Island Expressway
A suspect in a string of nine burglaries of businesses in Suffolk County was apprehended after a stop on the Long Island Expressway, police said.
Following a months-long investigation, the suspect was located just after 10:10 p.m. Friday, July 22 in Dix Hills on the westbound LIE at Commack Road, Suffolk County Police.
The man, Robert Blackmore, age 54, of Ronkonkoma, threw a rock at the glass, entered and stole cash from several businesses in Suffolk County since January, according to police.

Father, Daughter Wanted In Girl Scout Cookie Scam Targeting Local NY Residents
Police in New York are reporting they have received at least 11 complaints from residents who said they gave to buy Girl Scouts cookies that were never delivered.
The incidents on Long Island were reported to Suffolk County Police between Saturday, June 18, and Monday, June 20, the department said.
Police say the alleged cookie scam took place in the following communities: Lake Ronkonkoma, Bohemia, and Patchogue, to Shirley to Mastic.
The money was given to a man who accompanied a young girl during some of the incidents, and in others, the girl was alone, police said.

Neighbor Charged After Man Shot, Killed In Front Of His North Bellport Home In Broad Daylight
A neighbor has been charged for the murder of a Long Island man was shot and killed outside his home.
The incident happened around 1:45 p.m., Wednesday, June 15 in North Bellport.
A male driver of a vehicle shot the man who was standing outside of his home at 615 Post Avenue before fleeing the scene, Suffolk County Police said.
The victim, Lee Houpe, age 28, was transported to Long Island Community Hospital in Patchogue where he was pronounced dead.
