An admitted drunk driver will spend years behind bars for a wrong-way Long Island crash that killed his own cousin and a second victim. Juan De Leon Collado, age 30, of Freeport, was sentenced to between seven and 21 years in prison in Nassau County Court on Monday, Jan. 29 after pleading guilty to aggravated vehicular homicide and related charges. Boy Dies After Being Struck By SUV On Long Island
A teenage boy who was struck by an SUV on Long Island has died after being hospitalized with serious injuries. The crash happened Friday, Nov. 29 at 6 p.m. in Massapequa Park, Nassau County Police said. According to detectives, the 15-year-old was traveling on his bicycle southbound on Park Boulevard at the intersection of Sunrise Highway when he was struck by a 2013 Dodge SUV that was traveling eastbound.
