Riverhead Man Causes 3 Crashes, Police Say A Long Island man was nabbed for reckless driving after allegedly causing three crashes as he fled from police. The incident occurred in Riverhead around 6:30 p.m. on Tuesday, May 21, at Osborn Avenue and Lincoln Street. According to Riverhead Police, officers responded to a report of a 2006 Acura sedan driving at a high rate of speed, putting other drivers at risk. 24-Year-Old Accused Of Stabbing Another Woman In Riverhead A Long Island woman was charged with assault after allegedly stabbing another woman during an altercation. The incident took place in Riverhead around 7:15 p.m.,  Thursday, Feb. 29 in the area of Osborn Avenue. Riverhead Police Det. Richard Freeborn said officers were called to a home on a report of an assault with a knife.  During an investigation, an adult woman was located with a stab wound to her right arm and injuries to her left hand, Freeborn said. Employees Find Man Dead Outside Long Island Restaurant Employees arriving to work found a man dead outside a Long Island restaurant, authorities said. Medics in Riverhead were called at around 3:30 a.m. Tuesday, Feb. 14, with reports of an unconscious man who was seated against an exterior wall outside Express Deli & Café on Osborn Avenue, according to Riverhead Town Police. When officers arrived, they found the man not breathing and without a pulse, and began performing CPR. The man was taken to Peconic Bay Medical Center, where he was pronounced dead, police said.
