Home Invasion: Suspect At Large After Woman Injured In Suffolk County A suspect is at large after a woman was injured during a home invasion on Long Island. It happened around 4:40 p.m. Monday, Aug. 19, in East Hampton. An elderly woman was hospitalized as a result of the incident on Old Stone Highway, according to East Hampton Police. The suspect is described as a man wearing a dark-color, hooded sweatshirt. East Hampton Town police officers, a drone unit of the East Hampton PD, and a Southampton Village Police Department K-9 unit conducted an extensive search of the area, police said. 19-Year-Old Nabbed For Hit-Run LI Crash That Seriously Injured Another Teen, Police Say A 19-year-old has been accused of allegedly fleeing the scene of a hit-and-run Long Island crash that seriously injured a pedestrian.  The crash on Tuesday, Aug. 10 in East Hampton seriously injured an 18-year-old. Daniel Campbell, of Montauk,  was driving a 2012 Honda Pilot northbound on Old Stone Highway when his vehicle struck Devesh Samtani, from Hong Kong, who was walking in the roadway around 11:30 p.m., East Hampton Town Police said.
