Police are investigating two separate bank robberies on Long Island that occurred a half-hour apart, one successful and the other not so much. Nassau County Police officers were first called at around 12:30 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 3, with reports of a robbery at a Chase Bank in Rockville Centre, located on North Village Avenue. Man Killed In Rollover Crash On Busy Rockville Centre Roadway
Police are investigating a fatal crash on a busy Long Island roadway. It happened around 9:50 a.m. Friday, June 3 in Rockville Centre. A 92-year-old man was operating a 2017 Nissan SUV northbound on Peninsula Boulevard when he struck the rear of another vehicle at the intersection of North Village Avenue, Nassau County Police said. Police Search For SUV Driver In Hit-Run Long Island Crash Seriously Injuring Teen
Police investigators on Long Island are attempting to locate a hit-and-run driver who struck a teenage pedestrian, got out of his car to check on him, then proceeded to get back in his SUV and driving away. An alert has been issued by the Nassau County Police Department as they attempt to locate the driver of a white Dodge Durango who struck a 14-year-old teen who was walking along the northbound lanes of North Village Avenue in Rockville Centre.
