Boy Critically Injured After Being Hit By Car In North Amityville A boy suffered severe injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened around 9:10 p.m. Monday, Oct. 28, in North Amityville. The 17-year-old was walking westbound across New Highway at the intersection of Pine Road when he was struck by a 2007 Toyota Prius traveling southbound, according to Suffolk County Police.
