A crew of burglars accused of ransacking luxury homes in New York and stealing over $250,000 in jewelry, gold, and family heirlooms has been busted in New Jersey, Nassau County police announced.
David Fernando Moreno Hernandez, Juan Pablo Orjuela-Saavedra, and Ivan Stewar Ramirez-Villalobos, all Colombian nationals based in Newark and East Orange, are accused of breaking into homes in Muttontown and Old Westbury over several months, detectives said in a release on Thursday, Feb. 27, 2025.

Podiatrist From Suffolk County Accused Of Forcibly Touching Patient
A Long Island podiatrist has been charged with forcibly touching one of his patients.
The incident occurred on Tuesday, March 10 at 11:15 a.m. in the village of Muttontown in the town of Oyster, Nassau County Police said.
According to detectives, Mark Gresser, 62, of Mount Sinai, while acting in his capacity as a podiatrist, forcibly touched a 42-year-old female patient.
The incident occurred at the NY College of Health Professionals located at 6801 West Jericho Turnpike, police said.
After an investigation, Gresser was arrested without incident on Tuesday, June 23 at 7:15 a.m.

Two Drivers Racing Each Other Sentenced For Fatal LIE Crash In Nassau County
Two Nassau County men have been sentenced for their roles in a fatal 2017 crash on the Long Island Expressway while racing each other at speeds as high as 120 miles per hour that left one man dead.
Jonnathan Santos, 22, of Manhasset, was sentenced Wednesday, May 29, to three to nine years in prison, Nassau County District Attorney Madeline Singas.
He pleaded guilty on Oct. 9, 2018, to manslaughter and DWAI/Drugs, said the DA's Office.
