That's The Ticket: Long Island's Own Billy Joel 70th Birthday MSG Concert Nears Long Island native and musical legend Billy Joel’s 70th Birthday Concert is scheduled for Thursday, May 9 at Madison Square Garden. The Madison Square Garden Company has announced that show is the “unprecedented” 64th consecutive show by Joel, an MSG Franchise and internationally acclaimed, six-time Grammy-winning New Yorker. The 70th birthday show is part of Joel’s residency at The World’s Most Famous Arena, which started in January 2014 with Joel putting on one show per month at MSG.
