LI Clothing Boutique Sold Counterfeit Louis Vuitton, Gucci: Police
The owner of a Long Island clothing boutique is accused of selling counterfeits of high-end fashion brands, authorities said.
Mitchell Feig, age 66, of Merrick, was arrested Wednesday, Jan. 11, following an investigation by Nassau County Police. Feig owns Max & Gino’s, located in Woodbury on Jericho Turnpike.
Detectives said the store had on display several items bearing counterfeit trademarks of Louis Vuitton, Chanel, and Gucci. The phony trademarks were reportedly found on sweatshirts, patches, and shirts.
Feig was arrested at the store without incident. He is facing a single charge …
Suspect Wanted For Stealing $11K From Merrick Spa, Police Report
Police are searching for an individual who is accused of stealing $11,000 from a Long Island spa.
The incident happened at the New Happiness Relax Spa Inc. in Merrick, located at 22 Merrick Ave., at about 8:10 p.m. on Saturday, Dec. 17, the Nassau County Police Department said.
NCPD reported that an unknown female, with no age description provided, requested to use the spa's restroom and then entered an office to steal the money.
She then left the business, walking north on Merrick Avenue, police said.

A New York businesswoman is facing federal prison time after being convicted of obstructing the IRS and filing false tax returns.
Long Island resident Lorraine Pilitz, age 64, of Merrick, was found guilty on all five counts against her by a federal jury in Central Islip Wednesday, Nov. 9, following a two-week trial.
Federal prosecutors said between 2011 and 2013, Pilitz, who owned several automotive businesses on Long Island, regularly structured cash deposits in a way that allowed her to avoid filing financial reports that are required for all transactions over $10,000.

Long Island Duo Nabbed For Armed Gas Station Robbery, Police Say
A Long Island duo has been nabbed for allegedly robbing a BP gas station at gunpoint.
The incident took place around in Merrick around 7:10 p.m., Tuesday, July 5 at the station located at 1185 Merrick Ave.
According to detectives, Jerald Gadsden, age 31, and Heleena Velazquez-Krupp, age 28, both of North Woodmere, entered the gas station and approached a 62-year-old male employee and displayed a pistol demanding money.
The victim, in fear of his life, complied and opened the store register and gave Gadsden an unknown amount of cash, Nassau County Police said.
