14-Year-Old Severely Injured In Sunrise Highway Crash
A teenage suffered critical injuries in an overnight Long Island crash. It happened on Friday, Oct. 4, at 9:40 p.m. in Merrick, according to Nassau County Police. A 41-year-old man operating a 2023 Ford pickup truck traveling westbound on Sunrise Highway (Route 27) was involved in a collision with a 14-year-old boy riding a bicycle northbound on Merrick Avenue. 17-Year-Old Killed After SUV Crashes Into Tree On Long Island
A teenager was killed after a compact SUV crashed into a tree overnight on Long Island. The incident happened around 2:20 a.m. Sunday, Sept. 22 in Merrick. The teen, a 17-year-old boy, was operating a 2021 Honda CRV traveling southbound on Merrick Avenue when the incident happened. He was pronounced dead at the scene. Police are searching for an individual who is accused of stealing $11,000 from a Long Island spa. If you picked up a Powerball ticket at a gas station on Long Island over the weekend, check those numbers twice, because one lucky person won a cool $148 million. The winning ticket was sold in Nassau County at Merrick Gas & Repair on Merrick Avenue in Merrick, said the New York State Lottery. The winning ticket with numbers 18-21-24-30-60 with the Powerball 20, was sold to a single winner on a Quick Pick ticket, the lottery said.
