Mother Calls Death Of 8-Year-Old Son 'Cruel,' 'Preventable' As Community In Suffolk Holds Vigil
The mother of a Long Island 8-year-old boy who died after allegedly being left in a frigid garage overnight said her son's death was "preventable" during a vigil for the boy.
Thomas Valva was found dead in the driveway of his home at 11 Bittersweet Lane, in Center Moriches, around 9:40 a.m., Friday, Jan. 17.
Thomas’ father Michael Valva, 40, an NYPD transit officer, and his fiancée Angela Pollina, 42, have been charged with murder in connection with his death, said the Suffolk County Police.
