Man, Woman From Nassau County Apprehended After Stealing SUV From Long Island Chick-fil-A
Two Long Island residents were arrested for allegedly stealing an SUV at a restaurant last month after an employee left his keys on a table.
An employee at Chic-fil-A, located at 1991 Broadhollow Road, in East Farmingdale, left the keys to a 2014 Chevrolet Traverse on a table in the dining area on Friday, May 28 at approximately 6:55 p.m., said the Suffolk County Police.
Another employee asked a customer, Jeffrey Dowling, if they were his keys. Dowling said they were and proceeded to steal the vehicle with his accomplice, Stacy Basso, police said.

A 55-year-old Long Island was apprehended by the FBI at a hotel where he allegedly intended to have a sexual encounter with a 10-year-old boy, according to authorities.
Kevin Will, of Islip, was arrested at the Melville hotel on Thursday, April 8, by members of the FBI "Crimes Against Children and Human Trafficking Unit," according to federal prosecutors.
When arrested, Will was in possession of cocaine, whiskey, lubricants and condoms, two pairs of small women's underwear, a gold gift card for Xbox Live, and other items, a criminal complaint said.

Man Killed After Being Struck By Car On Busy Long Island Roadway
A man was killed after being struck by a car on a busy Long Island roadway.
The incident happened on Tuesday, Dec. 15 at approximately 5:30 p.m. in Melville.
Sophia Mukhtarzada, 22, of Farmingdale, was driving a 2010 Honda Civic southbound on Broadhollow Road, south of the Long Island Expressway when the vehicle struck the man in the roadway, Suffolk County Police said.
The victim, whose identity is being withheld pending notification of next of kin, was pronounced dead at the scene, according to police.
