A wallet was stolen from Au Bon Pain in Melville at about 12:30 p.m. on Thursday, April 7, according to a report from the Suffolk County Police Department on Tuesday, April 26. SCPD said a man later used the stolen credit cards to purchase an Apple Watch from Wireless Shack, located at 1167 Deer Park Ave. in North Babylon. Daquan Cannon, age 31, of Wyandanch, was arrested on Sunday, March 27 after crashing his car in Melville. Cannon was driving a 2011 BMW sedan eastbound on the South Service Road, east of Broadhollow Road when the vehicle veered off the roadway and struck a tree around 8 p.m., police said. 26-Year-Old Airlifted After Fall From Conveyor Belt In Melville Police are investigating an industrial accident that seriously injured a Long Island man. Nassau County resident, Timothy Baumann, age 26, of Merrick, injured his arm after falling off a conveyor belt at Rason Asphalt, located at 136 Spagnoli Road, in Melville, at 8 a.m., Friday, March 11. Baumann was airlifted by helicopter to Nassau University Medical Center in East Meadow for treatment of serious injuries, said the Suffolk County Police.
