With the arrival of fall, there is an increased risk of crashes involving deer, both the New York State Department of Motor Vehicles (DMV) and the Department of Environmental Conservation (DEC) are warning motorists. Scary Drivers: Hochul Orders Crackdown On Drunk, Aggressive Driving Over Halloween Weekend
As Halloween approaches, officials are taking measures to ensure that New Yorkers can have a safe and scary-good time. Starting Friday, Oct. 27, and lasting through Tuesday, Oct. 31, Gov. Kathy Hochul announced that both state and local law enforcement will be on patrol in an attempt to crack down on impaired driving. Travelers in New York are running out of time to “get real” before needing a new license to board domestic flights in the US. In less than a year, as of May 3, 2023, standard licenses would no longer make the cut for those looking to travel, requiring them to register for a REAL ID to board planes.
