Man Accused Of Committing Lewd Act In Front Of Child At Suffolk County Store
A 56-year-old man was arrested after police said he committed a lewd act in front of a child at a Long Island store. Reynaldo Flores, of Middle Island, was arrested at about 9:30 a.m. on Monday, Aug. 23, and charged with public lewdness and endangering the welfare of a child, according to the Suffolk County Police Department. SCPD said a teenager was in a store with her parents on Main Street in Smithtown at about 1 p.m. on Saturday, July 24, when Flores committed a lewd act while looking at her. Trio At Large After Breaking Into Long Island Liquor Store With Baseball Bat, Police Say
Three hooded men were caught on camera using a baseball bat to break into a Long Island liquor store. Suffolk County Crime Stoppers released surveillance photos of three suspects who broke through the front door of Figari’s Wine and Liquor in Smithtown on Friday, Feb. 21. Police said that at approximately 2 a.m. on Feb. 21, the three used the bat to break into the Main Street store. They then stole approximately $200 in cash and $300 worth of liquor before fleeing on foot in an unknown direction. Man Wanted For Stealing $165 Worth Of Items From Long Island Stop & Shop
Know him? An alert has been issued for a man who allegedly stole merchandise from Stop & Shop on Long Island last month. Suffolk County Police said that a man walked into Stop & Shop in n Smithtown on Main Street at approximately 1:30 p.m. on Friday, Dec. 20, stealing an assortment of cosmetics. The stolen items were valued at approximately $165. Anyone who recognizes the suspect has been asked to contact Suffolk County Police Fourth Precinct Crime Section investigators by calling Crime Stoppers at 1-800-220-TIPS.

Busy Roadway Scheduled For Closure In Smithtown
A busy road will be shut down temporarily over the weekend as residents and local officials get set to celebrate “Smithtown Day.” The Suffolk County Police Department issued an alert on Thursday, cautioning that from 7:30 a.m. to 6 p.m. on Sunday, June 2, Main Street will be closed in both directions between Route 111 and Maple Avenue for the annual celebration.
